CoR welcomes more than 4,000 visitors for open day

The Committee of the Regions welcomed more than
4,000 visitors for its open day on Saturday, 7 June - an increase of nearly 10%
on last year's figure.
The CoR's Belgian President Luc Van den Brande, who visited the exhibition area in the morning, thanked organisers and participants for helping to get across the message that "Europe is not just the 2km2 of Brussels, but a continent of real diversity of cultures".
The CoR hosted stands featuring more than 50 regions and cities as its contribution to the 'Grand Festival of Europe' open day, organised jointly with the other EU institutions in Brussels.
