Hübner to present Fifth Cohesion Report in structured dialogue with CoR and regional and local assocations

Danuta Hübner, Commissioner responsible for Regional Policy, will discuss the Fifth Report on Economic and Social Cohesion at a structured dialogue meeting on 18 June. The report, which will be adopted by the Commission on the same day, outlines the future of the European Union's regional policy. The meeting will be the eighth in a series of thematic structured dialogues between European Commissioners, associations of local and regional authorities, and the Committee of the Regions. Mrs Hübner will also address CoR members during the institution's Plenary Session.
The debate on the future of regional policy will continue in the coming months with the adoption of the Green Paper on territorial cohesion and a number of ministerial and high-level events under the French Presidency.
The structured dialogue will take place at the European Parliament's Paul Henri Spaak Building in Brussels from 2.30 to 4.00 pm. Deadline for registration is 28 May.Source: www.cor.eu
