European Union Sustainable Energy Week

The second EU Sustainable Energy Week will take place January 28 to February 1,
2008. Events organized during this week will cover a wide range of
topics related to the sustainable energy development making this
week-long event an important reference for sustainable energy issues
across Europe.
Key issues covered in the following few days will range from the
multinational collaboration toward a common sustainable energy goal, to
the significant need for legislation, education and planning in hope to
achieve energy efficiency and sustainable growth. EUSEW is organized by
the European Commission's Directorate General for Energy and Transport,
the European Institutions, and the Slovenian Presidency, in cooperation
with a large number of private and public organizations.
EUSEW's goal is raising the awareness of both of the stakeholders and
the public on this crucial issue of sustainable energy development, in
addition to the need of every nation to partake in ensuring the
sustainable energy development for generations to come.
