Green week 2010

Between the 1st
and 4th of June the Green week is taking place in the Capital of Europe - as the biggest
annual conference of environmental policy, organized by DG Environment of the
European Commission.
This year the conference will address the issue of
biodiversity under the name of "Biodiversity, our lifeline."
During the four days that will last the conference will cover topics such as biodiversity loss and their possible solutions, the current situation in Europe and the world, the benefits of biodiversity, the solutions to the problems of loss of biological variety that we suffer the economic dimension of biodiversity, ecosystems or the Red Natura 2010.
Green Week will include over 30 sessions and will meet in the Charlemagne building in Brussels more than 3,800 participants from EU institutions, businesses, industry, NGOs, public authorities, as well as scientific and educational
This event will be
divided into two parts, an area dedicated to conferences focused on the current
state of biodiversity in Europe and the world,
the pressures and threats it is subjected and the rate of biodiversity loss. Another will be devoted to a fair / exhibition in
which the USSE share a stand with CEPF and EUSTAFOR.
There will also be exhibitions,
with over 50 stands open on different projects financed by LIFE +, as well as
events organized by different organizations, the festival will include other
activities in parallel, as forums for sharing experiences and good practices,
films , exhibitions.
The 2010 is the Year of Biodiversity by the United Nations and also the European Union has launched the campaign "Biodiversity, we are together on that," in order to raise awareness of all European citizens the importance of representing the biodiversity for everyone.
