Croatian Regions Office was founded in 2007 by Varaždin County Development Agency to serve as a connecting point between our members and the EU. Our mission is to enhance and encourage the integration of Croatian regions and cities into the European network through interregional cooperation and promotion of their activities at European level. Covering a wide range of topics we inform our members on EU policies, help them in finding project partners and establish connections between them and other European regions and cities based on shared interests.
We assist our members during their visits to Brussels, coordinate meetings and organize tailor-made study visits for specific interests groups. Croatian Regions Office takes part in Brussels-based seminars, conferences and events on behalf of our members and represents their interests in various European networks.
Croatian Regions Office currently represents four counties (Krapina-Zagorje, Međimurje, Varaždin and Zagreb County), three cities (Koprivnica, Rijeka and Varaždin) and Municipality of Vidovec.
The Office is a part of Croatian Business Network which meets monthly and consist of Croatian regional representation offices, representation office of Croatian Chamber of Economy, Permanent Representation of Republic of Croatia to the EU, representation office of Croatian Tourist Board and Croatian Embassy in Belgium. Our members are also members of different regional networks and initiatives such as Assembly of European Regions, GMO free network, Covenant of Mayors, Central European Transport Corridor (CETC) and others.
